Hello, fashion enthusiasts! Today, I want to take you on a behind-the-scenes journey into my world as a stylist. From early morning coffee runs to evening fittings, my days are an ever-evolving blend of creativity, coordination, and a sprinkle of chaos. Let’s dive into what a typical day looks like for me in the fast-paced realm of fashion styling.

6:30 AM — Rise and Shine!

My day typically starts early. The first thing I do is brew a strong cup of coffee while scrolling through my social media feeds for the latest trends and updates in the fashion world. Instagram and Pinterest are my go-to platforms for inspiration, and I follow a mix of established designers, up-and-coming boutiques, and street-style influencers. 

After I’ve fueled up, it's time to review my agenda for the day. Am I prepping for a client fitting? Heading to a photoshoot? Or perhaps I have a brand meeting lined up? A quick glance at my calendar sets the tone for the day ahead.

8:00 AM — Client Consultations

My first appointment typically involves meeting with a client to discuss their styling needs. Whether it’s for a red carpet-event, a corporate shoot, or a vital cocktail party, communication is key. I listen to their ideas, inspirations, and what makes them feel confident. I jot down notes while we brainstorm and then archive styles that resonate with them.

After our session, I get to work compiling a mood board that reflects our conversation. It’s a visual guide that helps both me and my client understand the direction we’re heading in. I love this creative aspect, as it helps us connect on a deeper level!

11:00 AM — Shopping and Sourcing

Next up is one of my favorite parts of the job: shopping! This could mean browsing various boutiques, hitting the flagship stores, or even searching online for unique pieces. I search for outfits and accessories that align with my client’s vision and style. I often spend hours digging through racks to find that perfect item, always on the lookout for something special.

During this time, I also check in with designers and local brands to see if they have new arrivals or exclusive pieces I can incorporate into my work. Networking is crucial—especially in the world of fashion!

1:00 PM — Lunch Break & Admin Work

Lunch is often a quick affair, usually something I can grab on the go. While I eat, I take a moment to catch up on emails and messages that require my attention. From confirming appointments to coordinating with photographers, there’s a constant flow of communication that keeps me on my toes.

2:00 PM — Fitting Session

This is where the magic happens! I usually dedicate the afternoon to fitting sessions. I meet clients at their homes or studios to try on the selected outfits I've curated. Here, I assess how each garment fits and works together, making adjustments as needed. This is an intimate experience where my input can completely change the direction of a look. 

Client feedback is essential, so I encourage them to express their feelings about the garments. Once we find the winning looks, I take notes for any last-minute alterations that may be needed before the big event.

5:00 PM — Photoshoot Prep

If I have a photoshoot scheduled, this is when I switch gears. I pack up all the outfits, accessories, and props required for the shoot and head to the location (or studio). Setting up a shoot involves a lot of coordination—timing, lighting, and even the mood of the day play a huge role in the final outcome. I work closely with the photographer and creative director, ensuring that the chosen wardrobe enhances the overall vision.

8:00 PM — Wrap-Up & Reflection

Once the shoot is over and we’ve captured everything, it’s time to start wrapping up. This includes sorting through wardrobe pieces and returning any borrowed items to designers. After an exhilarating day, I find it helpful to reflect on what went well and what could have been improved. Each day brings new opportunities and learning experiences.

9:00 PM — Wind Down

After a long day on my feet, I unwind. Often, I’ll catch up on my favorite fashion documentaries or read industry-related articles. I need to stay inspired and informed, especially as trends are always shifting.

As I drift off to sleep, I can’t help but feel grateful for the exciting and dynamic world I get to be a part of. Each day brings its own set of challenges and triumphs, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
