6:30 AM: Rise and Shine!

 

The day begins bright and early. I kickstart my morning with a strong cup of coffee—coffee is a hairdresser’s best friend, after all! I take a moment to check my schedule for the day. It’s packed with clients, from regulars who have been with me for years to new faces eager for a fresh look. I’ve lined up everything from haircuts and coloring to special event styling.

7:30 AM: Prep Time

Before heading to the salon, I make sure to gather my tools: scissors, brushes, combs, and a selection of products. Organizing my kit is crucial, as it helps me work efficiently throughout the day. Once I arrive at the salon, I set up my station and ensure everything is clean and sanitized. A tidy workspace sets a positive tone for both me and my clients!

9:00 AM: First Client of the Day

 

I greet my first client with a smile. Today, she’s looking for a significant change—think long to short! We discuss shades and techniques, and by the end of the appointment, she leaves with a vibrant, radiant look that brings her to tears of joy. Moments like these remind me why I love my job.

1:30 PM: Lunchtime Reset

Between clients, it’s essential to take a breather and recharge! I grab a quick bite at a nearby cafe. During lunch, I like to catch up on social media—checking out the latest hair trends and techniques is a must! Engaging with my fellow hairdressers and clients on Instagram keeps me inspired and motivated.

As the afternoon rolls on, I pivot to a bride-to-be coming in for a trial updo. My adrenaline kicks in as I meticulously craft a beautiful style that complements her dress and features. It’s a delicate balance of artistry and precision, and I love every minute. After the trial, we discussed her vision for her big day, and it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement!

6:00 PM: Wind Down

  

With the last appointment of the day finished, I take some time to clean up my station, restock products, and prep for tomorrow. The salon quiets down, allowing me a moment to reflect on the day’s transformations and connections. It’s a beautiful thing to be part of someone’s journey, even if it’s just through their hair.

7:30 PM: Home Sweet Home

  

After a long, fulfilling day, I head home, exhausted but happy. I unwind with a nice dinner and a bit of TV. But really, when I hit the pillow, I’m already thinking about tomorrow’s clients and how I can make their day wonderful.
